Oscillate steht für hohen Anspruch an musikalische Qualität und puristische Feierkultur. Auch im 3. Jahr nach der Gründung werden wir nicht müde, nach neuer und fordernder Musik zu suchen und sie im bestmöglichen Rahmen zu präsentieren. Zum 2. Mal übernehmen wir für 22h das Ruder im Blank und hängen einen hoffentlich sonnengetränkten Tag im blankschen Garten an die durchtanzte Nacht. Mit einer wohl überlegten Mischung aus internationalen Künstlern, lokalen Größen und unseren Residents werden wir nun schon zum 6ten Mal der allmächtigen Oszillation an unserem Lieblingsort huldigen.

Oscillate is known for high standards in music quality and pure party culture. In the 3rd year of the series we are not tiring of finding new and challenging music to present in the best possible way. For the second time we are taking over about blank for a 22 hour session with a (hopefully) sun-spoiled daytime rave post the dance-till-you-sweat night. Another well curated mixture of international acts, local heroes and our residents will worship the almighty oscillation for the 6th time together with you.

Dr. Rubinstein ist eine Freundin des Hauses, ob als Gast oder als DJ. Seit 2012 hat sie mit ihren treibenden und intelligenten Sets im ://about blank aber auch im Berghain von sich reden gemacht. Mittlerweile hat sich Dr. Rubinstein auch international eine glänzende Reputation erspielt.
Fred P aka Black Jazz Consortium aka Anomaly produziert seit mehr als 20 Jahren hochwertige Housemusik, die dem Attribut “deep” wirklich gerecht wird. Sein eigenes Label Soul People Music war meistens die Plattform für seine Produktionen, aber auch Jus-Ed's Underground Quality und Toshiya Kawasaki's Mulemusiq haben schon Platten von ihm veröffentlicht.
Frank Music Kopf Johannes Albert hat sich, bevor er 2010 nach Berlin gezogen ist, eine gehörige Plattensammlung zugelegt und sich unter anderem in NYC, Chicago und Würzburg dem Studium des House-Boogie gewidmet. Releases auf stupendous, WHITE und Deeper Shades zeugen von einer intensiven Auseinandersetzung mit dem Metier.
Resident Kate Miller wird uns auf dem Lobbyfloor durch die Nacht begleiten. Mittlerweile hat sie sich mit ihren genreübergreifenden und überraschenden Sets auch europaweit einen Namen gemacht. Zwischen House, Techno und Electro oszillierend, passt ihr Sound immer punktgenau zur Stimmung auf dem Dancefloor.
Marc FM ist ein Berliner Original. Der Lichtenberger hat schon in wirklich jedem Laden der Stadt gespielt und die meisten auch überlebt ( z.B. war er mal Resident im Tape Club). Seit über 10 Jahren betreibt er schon seine Eventreihe “Satisfaction”, welche seither auch ohne großartige Konzeptionierung auskommt. Auf der Oscillate wird er die Beschallung des Gartens duch die ganze Nacht übernehmen und einen experimentellen Chill-Out-Floor eröffnen.
Weltenbummlerin Paramida macht einen Zwischenstopp in Berlin und wird Sonntag Nachmittag den Garten beschallen. Mit ihrem eigenen Imprint Love on the Rocks kann sie auch die Tätigkeitsbeschreibung “Labelmanagerin” zu ihrem Repertoire hinzufügen. Erfahrene Veranstalterin und begnadete DJ gehören ja bereits schon dazu. Wir freuen uns sehr auf ihren Besuch.
Zum ersten mal bei Oscillate dabei ist Phonatic. Eigentlich beherrscht er alle Spielarten elektronischer Musik und erfuhr seine Sozialisation durch Detroit Techno. Aufzulegen begann er zwar mit Hip Hop, aber Techno ist und bleibt sein Steckenpferd, daher wird er uns mit seinem sonnigen Gemüt auf dem MDF Floor in die richtige Stimmung versetzen.
Rebekah ist seit Jahren ein Schwergewicht im elektronischen Musikbusiness. Sie hat ihren ganz eigenen Technosound mittlerweile auf über 10 Labels präsentiert und ihre Sets strotzen nur so vor Energie. Dieses Jahr wird wohl auch noch ihr Debutalbum folgen und ihre Partyreihe Elements in Birmingham hat Anfang 2016 einen glorreichen Start hingelegt.
Oscillate Allstar und immer-dabei Resident Reznik kann eigentlich immer und überall auflegen. Seine jahrelange Erfahrung hat dem Musikconnaisseur mit dem richtigen Gespür für den Floor ausgestattet. Ob warm-up , peak time oder closing, Reznik schafft es immer die crowd in seinen Bann zu ziehen. Wir sind sehr froh darüber ihm den Morgen im Garten zu überlassen.
Savart ist der dritte Resident im Bunde. Zusammen mit Phonatic, Dr. Rubinstein und Rebekah komplettiert er das Nachtprogramm auf dem Technofloor. Seine präzisen Mixes und die durchdachte Plattenauswahl sorgen immer wieder für einen Wow-Effekt.
Lange haben wir versucht, die beiden Jungs von Session Victim bei Oscillate präsentieren zu dürfen. Nun hat es endlich geklappt. Hauke und Matthias werden ein extralanges DJ Set im Garten spielen und wir bestimmt wie Fanboys vor dem DJ-Pult abtanzen.
Wenn Zola nicht gerade die Kunst und Kulturszene Berlins mit ihren journalistischem Fachwissen auf dem ashore Blog beehrt, findet man sie als DJ im Schwuz, Golden Gate oder eben im ://about blank. Die soulige Musikerziehung hört man ihren housigen Sets immer noch an und das ist auch gut so.

Dr. Rubinstein is a friend of about blank, as a DJ and as a guest. People have been talking about her impelling and intelligent sets since 2012 when she first appeared regularly at about blank and Berghain. This was also the starting point of Dr. Rubinstein’s international career and it's impressed us a lot so far.
Fred P aka Black Jazz Consortium aka Anomaly has been producing high quality house music for over 20 years and his music really deserves the attribute “deep”. He worked hard at his passion, which is evident upon listening to his splendid releases on labels such as stupendous, WHITE, Deeper Shades and of course his own imprint Frank Music.
Our resident Kate Miller will guide us through the night on the Lobby floor. Meanwhile she established a Europe-wide reputation with her surprising and genre-defying sets. Oscillating between House, Techno, Electro and more her composition of records is always right on point for the mood on the dancefloor.
Marc FM is a true Berliner. The Lichtenberg-born has played in every single club in Berlin and outlived most of them (eg. he was a resident at Tape Club). For over 10 years he has been running his loose-concept event series “Satisfaction” which is now based at Paloma Bar. Marc will be playing some experimental chill out tunes all-night-long in the blank tent.
Globetrotter Paramida has a stop-over in Berlin and we are delighted to invite her to play in the garden on Sunday afternoon. Since successfully running her outstanding imprint “Love On The Rocks” she was able to include label manager in her list of skills alongside event manager and highly talented DJ. We are blessed to have her with us.
This is Phonatic’s debut at the Oscillate series and we are looking forward to welcoming him to the decks. He seems comfortable with all variations of electronic music. He found his way into DJ culture through hip hop but these days his real passion is techno. In combination with his sunny nature Phonatic will be perfectly fitting to set the vibe on the MDF techno floor.
Rebekah has been heavily influencing the electronic music scene for years. She released her signature sound on more than 10 labels (including CLR and Soma) and her DJ sets are bursting with energy. Rebekah will be releasing her debut album this year and her party series “Elements” in Birmingham was successfully kicked off in February.
Oscillate allstar resident Reznik is always prepared to jump on the decks. The Music connoisseur's years of experience have provided him with an intuition for what's right for the dancefloor at any given moment. Capable of playing a groovy warm-up, killer peak time or dreamy closing set, Reznik always knows how to fascinate the crowd. We’re looking forward to hearing what he has up his sleeve for the Sunday morning set in the Garden.
Savart is Oscillate’s techno resident for this edition. Alongside Phonatic, Dr Rubinstein and Rebekah he will be completing the nightly program on the MDF floor. His ultra-precise mixing and sophisticated record selection never ceases to impress.
To book Session Victim has been a longstanding goal of ours at Oscillate and we are excited to announce that they will finally be joining us for an extended DJ set in the garden. If you’re unfamiliar with the pair of devoted vinyl DJs Hauke and Matthias, you’ll soon be drawn in by their house kicks infused with soul, disco and funk. Having released on Delusions of Grandeur, Retreat and more, the two have proved themselves time and again that they’re here to stay.
