Berlin Atonal is happy to release the first contingent of projects participating in this year’s festival at the end of August. These are the first twenty of over a hundred artists that will present works over the course of the five-day festival at Kraftwerk Berlin. Among the highlights are the world premiere of Lucrecia Dalt’s Synclines - a site-specific live work based on her recent Anticlines release; the first full live adaptation of Gábor Lázár’s hyper-focused and idiosyncratic Unfold project; the debut live outing of Kolorit - the new collaboration between Kassem Mosse and Lowtec - Workshop Records existing somewhere at the frayed edges of techno; the world premiere of the next stage of the legendary American outfit Outer Space’s mythical musical journey entitled Organic Dial; and the debut presentation of Hiro Kone’s Pure Expenditure work. The powerplant will additionally play host to live audio-visual performances from enigmatic British producer Darren Cunningham aka Actress and Scottish prodigy Lanark Artefax, as well as providing the setting for the German premiere of group A’s new A/V show with Dead Slow Ahead and the first British Murder Boys (the infamous collaboration of UK techno figureheads Surgeon and Regis) show in Germany for over 10 years.
