In Mitten der Berliner Sommerhitze wurde ein Festival geboren, welches eigentlich gar nicht als solches geplant war. Die Entstehungsgeschichte und das Konzept dieses Festivals gehören zu den unzähligen Sommermärchen, welche diese Stadt so einzigartig machen. Generell sagt man ja dem Sommer in Berlin eine gewisse Magie nach. „Wart ma ab bis hier ma die Sonne scheint“, predigen wir den Winterankömmlingen jedes Jahr aufs Neue. Die Stadt ist im Januar einfach nicht dieselbe wie im Juli.
Mehr als jede andere Stadt braucht Berlin auch diesen Sommer. Er ist der Grund um den kalten und grauen Winter hier zu ertragen, über den wir jetzt auch nicht weiter sprechen wollen. Während den warmen Monaten bietet Berlin einen der letzten Zufluchtsorte im Angesicht einer immer weiter abstumpfenden Welt. Die schier endlosen Möglichkeiten, welche Berlins hedonistische Feierszene zu bieten hat, verwandeln die Stadt in ein riesiges, nicht enden wollendes, Festival. Die Menschen sind draußen und produktives Arbeiten scheint unmöglich zu sein, ohne sofort das Gefühl zu haben etwas zu verpassen.
Kurz gesagt: Wir lieben den Sommer in unserer Stadt. Und das Hundert-Fahrenheit- Festival ist unsere Liebeserklärung an diese atemberaubende Zeit. Was ursprünglich als eine Club-Nacht geplant war, hat sich schnell zu einem riesen Party-Ausnahmezustand im bunten Zentrum Kreuzbergs entwickelt. Hundert Fahrenheit symbolisiert all das, was wir am Berliner Sommer so lieben -- verpackt in drei Tage. Genießt den Festival-Vibe mitten in Berlin, zu weniger als einem Drittel des Durchschnittspreises und ohne wertvolle Sommerzeit in Berlin zu verschwenden.
Das Hundert-Fahrenheit- Festival bietet euch auch musikalische eine Reise der besonderen Art: Amerikanische Gründervätern der Techno- und Houseszene, ohne die wir heute nicht zu der gleichen Musik tanzen würden, treffen auf lokale Künstler, welche der Berliner Szene ihre besondere Note verleihen. Mit dabei House-Legenden wie Marshall Jefferson und Robert Owens.

In the utmost heat of the local festival season there is one festival that was not even intended to be one. Its birth and its rolling concept are yet another magical story that will once be told about Berlin.
They say that the Berlin summer is the reason to tolerate the grey Berlin winter. Indeed, an alien who would visit the city in January and then again in July will find it hard to believe that it is the same city.
Summer in Berlin seems to have a unique meaning, probably more than anywhere else in the world: the fact that this city is still a last asylum from the western world's rat race and the endless possibilities that the hedonist club scene offers make summer in Berlin into one big festival. Everyone is out there, it is impossible to get any work done without feeling how precious minutes are being lost.
The Hundred Fahrenheit Festival is a love song to Berlin's summer. It was created yet another pleasant club night and turned into a huge fiesta, in the heart of Kreuzberg: the city's most colorful and multicultural quarter.
The Hundred Fahrenheit Festival attempts to collect the very best of everything that symbolizes the summer in the city and stack it all into a three days experience that allows you to enjoy a festival vibe without losing any of the precious summer time we've all been waiting for in the city.
The Hundred Fahrenheit Festival is also a musical journey than connects the dots: American founding fathers of Techno and House music - iconic DJs without whom we wouldn't be dancing to the same tunes today - will glorify the musical program this year. Among them, Marshall Jefferson and Robert Owens. They will join a mostly local lineup that represents the very best of the various scenes and labels in Berlin.
In less than third of the average festival cost, the Hundred Fahrenheit Festival invites you to be part of a magical summer tale, and to sing Berlin the love song it deserves.
