Bird of Paradise is an alias for Jo Howard, the young UK producer who has recently fast tracked to prominence via his output on labels such as Jennifer Cardini’s Correspondant imprint and New Yorks 'Throne of Blood'. As a DJ, he has honed his skills both at his own party, Cubik, in his native Sunderland in North East England, as well as a resident at Man Powers 'Tourist Parties' in neighbouring Newcastle, which have afforded him the opportunity to play alongside such luminaries as Todd Terje, John Talabot, Daniel Avery and Ivan Smagghe. Oli Warriner aka Traela, a very talented producer, dj, party organizer and Tunnyl label manager based in Newcastle. An avid record collector with a genre-hopping appetite and a sincere appreciation for old technological authority on production, he has developed his multi-faceted experience into the upcoming producer he is now. His label Tunnyl might be new but already known for high quality releases, like the latest killer release from Berlin’s Freudenthal. With plenty more releases in the pipeline for next year and plans to begin his vinyl series next summer, this is one label to keep your eyes on.
