Brixton native and Warp Records affiliate Gaika converts the hyper-real urban chaos of London into glitchy, otherworldly collages. His combinations of the UK tropes of grime and garage with dancehall, hip-hop, and R&B are all set against a gothic, fetishistic, streetwear-oriented visual aesthetic.

Glossy and angular; spacious and atmospheric. Ben Jackson’s music sweeps over a broad landscape of sonic textures. The Canadian producer takes rhythmic structures from the bass/trap/footwork/ballroom continuum and brings them into unfamiliar emotional territory.
Jackson honed his craft in relative isolation, building a studio in a tiny Atlantic coastal village before coming to Berlin in 2013. Since then, he’s collaborated with Black Cracker, Godmother and Alexander Geist, as well as a to-be-announced New Jersey rapper.
From 90s PC video games to medieval devotional music, disparate influences converge as Jackson traffics across the border between pop and experimental. “I try not to think about genre. I’m more concerned with a track’s integrity, how the song relates to itself.”

German DJ, artist and writer D.R.E.E.A. established herself as one of the few credible female selectors in Berlin's night life. Original head who started paying her dues writing for RAP.de - Germany's online hip hop Source. After making moves in New York's musical and artistic underground scene, she settled back in Berlin. Her selection of adventurous and rugged styles of music has garnished her a cult following across Europe. She currently works a freelance editor and is a member of the international creative collective eVeWithoutAdam.

„Kometenmelodien“ steht für die Euphorie, die im Hörer entsteht, wenn sie oder er Musik hört, die so noch nie da gewesen war – der eine heiße, neue Hihat-Sound, diese unfassbare Bassline, die unwirkliche, einmalige Stimme oder die Vereinigung vermeintlich disparater Stile.
Kraftwerk veröffentlichten ihre „Kometenmelodien“ im Jahre 1973 als Single unter dem Namen „Kahoutek – Kometenmelodie“. Die Begeisterung, welche die Entdeckung des Kometen „C/1973 E1“ durch den tschechischen Astromen Kohoutek in der Fachwelt auslöste, die Erwartung, dass jener Komet tatsächlich der am Hellsten strahlende Komet des 20. Jahrhunderts sein würde (er wurde es nicht) … dieser Glaube trägt auch die Veranstaltungen, die im Rahmen von „Kometenmelodien“ stattfinden. Hit! And miss.
