As part of our 10th anniversary celebrations, Huntleys + Palmers and Highlife are very excited to present a remix package of the most important record we’ve released to date, Auntie Flo’s Theory of Flo. Having worked with Auntie Flo from the very beginning, we’ve been massively thrilled to watch him grow and develop from a resident DJ in Glasgow, to an renown international artist touring the world on a regular basis. We worked on the original album over the course of 2 years from its early inception, to it’s final release and were very pleased with the deserving accolades it received at the time - including a shortlist nomination for the Scottish Album of the Year.
We had an idea to get the whole album remixed from our musical heroes and contemporaries and are pleased to share the results with you. As with all great remixes, each have brought something new and exciting to the original ideas and vocals. We’ve been having a lot of fun playing these out over the past few months and have been asked non-stop about when that Dixon edit is coming out.. The wait is over!
To celebrate the occasion, we're throwing parties at some of our favourite venues around the UK and Europe with as many of the featured remixers as possible. The Berlin leg sees us drop into Ohm where Auntie Flo and Andrew welcome a rare live appearance by the mighty Africaine 808!
