The #Metamorphosis 1915.
Die Metamorphose beschreibt in erster Linie eine Weiterentwicklung. Im Gegensatz zum Tierreich entwickelt sich bei Musikern der Stil stetig und praktisch unaufhörlich. Mit der Zeit werden die Schritte meist kleiner und das eigene Portfolio nimmt meist nur noch zusätzliche Facetten an, als sich ständig um 180 Grad zu drehen. Ein gutes Beispiel dafür ist Ontal. Vergleicht man Output auf Darkfloor Sound mit der gerade erschienenen Uprock EP für Mord, so ist die rohe, schrabbelige Ästetik selbst in 2013 bereits vorhanden, wirkt aktuell jedoch deutlich ausdifferenzierter.
Bei allen Künstlern des heutigen Abends werden auf die eine oder andere Weise Unterschiede zu hören sein, wenn man ihre Präsenz hinter den Decks oder den Drummachines in 2017 mit der von vor einigen Jahren vergleicht. Honzo, NX1 oder Blasted sind hungrig danach in immer neue Sphären vorzudringen. So bleibt Techno frisch und stagniert nicht.
A metamorphosis primarily describes a further development. In contrast to the animal kingdom, musicians develop steadily and practically unceasingly. Over time, the steps are usually smaller, and their own portfolio usually only takes on additional facets, as they constantly rotate through 180 degrees. Ontal are the perfect example of this. Comparing the output of Darkfloor Sound with the just released Uprock EP on Mord, the raw, scrabbled aesthetics are already noticeable in 2013, but is now much more differentiated.
With all the artists of the evening, we will be able to hear the differences between the decks or the drummachines in 2017, compared to those of a few years ago. Honzo, NX1 or Blasted are hungry to penetrate into ever new spheres. Through this attitude, Techno stays fresh and does not stagnate.
