Vincent Koreman alias Drvg Cvultvre ist ein wahrer Tausendsassa im Studio. Es ist gerade erst Sommer und Koreman hat bereits zwei Alben veröffentlicht. Manch anderer Produzent hat das in zehn Jahren nicht auf die Reihe bekommen. Bandcamp machts möglich. Auf Hardcore Redux und Nobody Cares Forever lebt er im Gegensatz zu Into The Endless Night aus dem vergangenen Jahr die abstrakteren Seiten seines Portfolios aus. Industrial, Noise, obskurer Techno, Hardcore und heruntergestrippter Gabber wenn man so will, geben einen Einblick in die schrille Welt des Holländers.
Nick Dunton ist seit den späten neunziger Jahren unter diversen Pseudonymen unterwegs und schraubte unter anderem an der Seite von Mark Broom an kraftvollem Techno mit Tribal-Seitenhieb oder auf Jerome Sydenhams Ibadan Label an einer US-lastigeren Variante. Stringenz kann eben auch vielseitig sein.
Sterociti steht dem in nichts nach. Seit inzwischen etwa zehn Jahren setzt er sich mit der Schnittstelle zwischen Ambient und sphärischem Deep-House auseinander und avancierte in diesem Metier zu einer der Frontfiguren Japans.
Sein Album Lost Land stellt dabei die konsequente Weiterentwicklung seines vielbeachteten Debütalbums Kawasaki dar.
Poverty is Violence was formed in 2013 as a reaction to the endless slew of meaninglessness and mediocrity in the modern age. Label owners Nick Dunton (of 65d mavericks and Surface fame) and long time friend and cohort Charlton aka Tapirus (Mord) have set the stall high. Pushing the acid house template to the extreme and never resting on their laurels.. moving the sound onwards in as diverse a fashion as possible with every release and delivering 5 highly acclaimed releases in the last 18 months.
Searching for the creative spaces where people fear to tread and then pushing the boundaries as far out as possible in an effort to reject mediocrity and the status quo.
PIV has employed established high profile artists under pseudonyms in order that they have nothing to lose in the search for creative freedom in a world full of unspoken rules and restrictions
Established Artists including XXX, Charlton , Drug culture , KSP , Persian , Mark forshaw, Credit 00 , Spektor, 65d mavericks, Covariant etc have helped put PIV on the map with zero promotion and a truly punk ethos.
The aim of Poverty is to reject conformity and put music firmly at the forefront whilst attempting to raise awareness of the oppression of mankind through mind control, hoping to encourage people to wake up before its too late !
Poverty makes music for the mind with a message from the heart. Its not enough to stand by and be silent, stand for something or fall for anything!
