We like to celebrate the New Year a little bit longer with 36 hours of nonstop partying with our residents, the team and selected favourite artists while we look back on the past 12 months.
In addition to the anticipation of all the upcoming and partly scheduled events in 2018, we are particularly looking forward to Electric Indigo this evening, who has her upcoming debut album in tow in January. The career of the native Viennese woman goes back to the late 80ies. In 1993 she released her first EP on Experimental. It's hard to believe that it took another 25 years for an LP to appear on Robert Henke's Imbalance Computer Music. But it was worth the wait. The record contains predominantly enormous, intense breaks techno. Top-heavy drones create a soundtrack feeling and shows her affinity to work away from the clubs. Especially noteworthy is the track "Trois" in which she processed the voices of Jennifer Cardini, Etapp Kyle and 18 other vocalists.
Jesper Dahlbäck, Ray Kajioka and Mørbeck are also true veterans and have shaped the international techno scene both as DJs and producers. Coming up, Jesper Dahlbäck often hit the dub groove on the legendary Svek label, while Mørbeck took inspiration from 90ies hip-hop and Kajoka turned to Detroit techno.
The Venezuelan producer Aérea Negrot, on the other hand, is based on musical foresight that creates abstract pop with technoid grooves between classical and electronic music. She lived out her affinity for pop as part of Hercules & Love Affair. Along side Andy Butler, Kim Ann Foxman and Shaun J. Wright she brought on Blue Songs up-tempo soul, golden era house and synth pop with one common denominator.

Das neue Jahr zelebrieren wir gerne etwas größer und blicken 36 Stunden Nonstop mit unseren Residents, dem gesamten Team, sowie ausgewählten Lieblingskünstlern auf die vergangenen 12 Monate zurück.
Neben der Vorfreude auf all die noch kommenden und teils schon vorgeplanten Veranstaltungen in 2018 freuen wir uns an diesem Abend besonders auf Electric Indigo, die ihr im Januar anstehendes Debütalbum im Schlepptau hat. Die Karriere der gebürtigen Wienerin reicht zurück bis in die späten 80er. 1993 veröffentlichte sie ihre erste EP über Experimental. Kaum zu glauben, dass es für die nun auf Robert Henkes Imbalance Computer Music erscheinende LP weitere 25 Jahre gebraucht hat. Das Warten hat sich jedoch gelohnt. Die Platte umfasst vorwiegend enorm intensiven Breaks-Techno. Kopflastige Drones kreieren ein Soundtrack Feeling und zeigen ihre Affinität zur Arbeit abseits der Clubs auf. Speziell hervorzuheben ist der Track „Trois“, in dem sie die Stimmen von Jennifer Cardini, Etapp Kyle und 18 weiteren Vocalists verarbeitet.

Die Arbeiten der aus Venezuela stammenden Produzentin Aérea Negrot basieren dagegen auf einer musikalischen Weitsicht, die zwischen Klassik und elektronischer Musik abstrakten Pop mit technoiden Grooves hervorbringt. Ihre Affinität zu Pop lebte sie währenddessen als Teil von Hercules & Love Affair aus. An der Seite von Andy Butler, Kim Ann Foxman und Shaun J. Wright brachte sie auf Blue Songs Uptempo-Soul, Golden-Era-House und Synth-Pop auf einen gemeinsamen Nenner.
