JAY SHEPHEARD (RETROFIT / LONDON / BERLIN)
Jay Shepheard & St Petersburgs finest Kito Jempere (Freerange, Lets Play House, Fata Morgana) release their first collaborative EP on Retrofit in early summer. Four stunning tracks make up this EP, receiving a premier from Deep House London for the A1 track "Rhubarb Wire" and an 8/10 print review from DJ Mag (attached).



A second collaborative EP release came shortly after, this time from Shepheard and disco legend Pete Herbert. The EP has strong DJ support from Ame, Luke Solomun, Jacques Renault, Tensnake, Ivan Smaaghe, H.O.S.H, DJT, Mark August, Damian Lazarus and many more - as well as a front page feature on Traxsource & Genre features on Beatport.

Shepheard has also been busy on the remix front. Earlier this year his stand out mix of Catz n' Dogz "Stay" featured on their album remix package alongside artists including Jamie Jones, Maurice Fulton, Ania Schneider and Eats Everything - and wound up the top selling mix on the album, the mix also received Radio One play from Pete Tong.



Other recent remixes include the "Multa" remix for Nils Penner on Galaktika and Jan Mir's "Erzhaide" for Ritter Butzka Studio.



On the mix tip his Deep House Amsterdam Live podcast is still going strong with 25k plays. The mix features 100% original JS matirial. More DJ mixes are about to drop with some other platforms in the coming months - stay tuned!



SHAHROKH DINI (COMPOST BLACK LABEL)

Shahrokh Dini formerly known as Shahrokh Sound of K, has made himself known as a DJ since the early 90s. His DJ sets move with the class of an experienced performer seamlessly from Deephouse to Detroit and via Disco back to modern-day vibes, as a whole always reminiscent of soulful roots but with refreshingly contemporary facets.

Around january 2015 we will see fresh material by Shahrokh releasing his new maxi „Bechno“ including remixes from Michael Reinboth and Liquid Phonk.
Adding to that Italic Recordings will release his remix "White Noise" for the Düsseldorf duo "BAR" as well as agogo records the Gallipoli-remix „Inovaction 002" which Shahrokh created for Yoruba's Gabriele Poso.

Shahrokh is one of the most influential cultural entrepreneurs in his Southern German hometown of choice, Karlsruhe, being the owner of the popular “Mood Lounge” Club.
His party franchise “Electric Mood” has seen 23 installments featuring the Who Is Who of the international house scene including amongst others Peter Kruder, Carl Craig and Charles Webster.

In the past he engaged artists such as Metro Area, Alex Kid and Amé for various events for the Center for Art and Media Karlsruhe ZKM, the latter proving his nose for talent as he had sourced them as residents at “Electric Mood” already in their early years. Adding to that Shahrokh now curates and runs the after party of the massive art fair "art Karlsruhe" in collaboration with the State Theater once a year.

As a producer, Shahrokh worked with international talents such as Robert Owens, Barbara Tucker, Nathan McLau und Jaime Lloud vom Label Future Classic. Whilst Shahrokh considers Compost his home and family base for his various releases he also collaborated with Strictly Rhythm and Ministry Of Sound.

"Phunk communication" was Shahrokh's first big success in 1997 and was ranked No. 1 on the Club Charts of Ministry of Sound London for 7 weeks.
"Owl flight" followed as a comeback in 2006 and has been found almost in every record case at that time.
His album “Dripping Point” released on Compost in 2010 let to such an overwhelming positive media feedback that until today it is not only sold pretty well but
the tracks and remixes like "Letting You Go" and "See the Light" are also still being played on a regularly basis.
