UENO MASAAKI focuses on creating new orders in which unpredictability and indeterminacy coexist with regularity. On his 2014 Raster-Noton debut, "Vortices" he articulates a unique style of techno, taking "his musical cue from natural phenomena and the laws of nature" and manifesting in a chain reaction of hyper-ventilating rhythm and shifting percussive tone.

SOHRAB was born in Tehran in 1984. He was seven when the Iran-Iraq war ended. His name, from an old poem called 'Shahname', means 'rouge water', which can also mean 'blood'. He started a punk band with his brother and a friend, which lasted about two years before splitting. He is currently living in Berlin.

ADULT MAGS is the pairing of DMC finalist and hardcore legend Dr Weevil and Rough Fields. The two musicians from the UK play chopped, weird techno, angular glitch-house and deep, disorientating bass music that is built from their field recording and vinyl manipulations.

ROUGH FIELDS is the solo project of UK-based producer James Birchall. Began in 2011 with a series of epic lo-fi cassettes on the Bomb Shop label, Birchall's productions display an acute understanding of dancefloor mechanics alongside more esoteric musical concerns.
