Marco Remus is an enthusiastic techno-DJ and producer, who freshened up the techno scene with his innovative and inspiring sound … hard, powerful, unusual, absolutely sloping arrangements, sets and productions. However, the love for music leads him to different directions and he is never afraid of changing.
Uncompromising, expressive and unique, this is Marco artistic dancefloor viewpoint.
Marco has travelled the world with his unique representation playing across Europe, Japan, Russia and South - America at the most respected clubs, parties and events.
As a deejay Marco has been around for a while, spinning since 1994 in different clubs & festivals. Marco is playing a wide range of techno and minimal - techno with his own remark. Never boring and always innovating because that's his nature. Undoubtedly one of Germany’s most established and skilled Techno DJ’s.
Marco Remus is not just a techno DJ, he is an experience. He is a state of mind.
His confident appearance is matched by his masterful control of a good mixing skills. Before each set he always powers down the previous track and leads the packed dance floor in a show of appreciation for the out-going DJ, before kick-starting his performance into a blaze of visuals, an orchestra of special effects which extracts every quality beat of each track as he begins his show. And then at the end, breathless, skin tingling and with a smile on your face from ear to ear, you feel as though every drop of energy has been sucked right out of you.
To watch Marco Remus playing is forceful, dominant, aggressive somehow tender and caring. A very precise and confident body language gives a visual indication to what he is playing as he acts out each track. Through the use of effects on the mixing desk, Marco adds his own colour, texture and feel as he maximises every beat of every track to create the unique new techno sound.
During these last 15 years, Marco Remus has extended his activities to artist and label management. Combining his love of quality music and technical knowledge, he has brought true underground techno to Germany. Realising the need to stay one step ahead of the game, Marco felt that producing his own tracks was a natural progression. So he start with his own label called “Nerven Records” in 2000. His label was from the beginning very successful and the releases from Marco (Nerven 01 – “ostcode”, Nerven 04 – “blowjobs ep”, Nerven 08 – “kopfschüttler”, Nerven 19 “indian beast” was praised in many magazines and big support from Rush, Luke Slater, Umek, Sven Vath…
In 2008 Marco starts with his sub - label called “Steckdose” which it stands more for minimal techno. After his first release “Steckdose 001/ DUNKLE NACHT EP” was straight a bomb three tracker! On the fourth release of this sub label, normally known for his more experimental excursions into techno, this are fairly straight-up driving minimal tracks with kickin' beats and percussion, honky bassline and big warm chords, which is bound to get them screaming.
Marco is back to the roots and he is now exclusive by Kne’ Deep agency and he will celebrate this year “10 years Kne’deep” with the “God Bless This Mess” tour. Marco was one of the first artist by the agency and he is very proud to be back by his family!! Soon the tour dates will be available!! DON’T MISS IT!!
