Martin Books began his career in the electronic music business in a very classical way. He grew up in a musical family – his father was drummer in a band and his mother a passionate piano player – he was heavily influenced by Synth-Pop in the early 90s and ended up in electronic music at the peak time of Rave in the mid-90s. After a few years of solo-DJing, he met the musician Danjell in 2003 and they were kind of soul mates right from the start. Just a short time later they toured together as „Telemen“ at several festivals, such as the Melt!, SonneMondSterne or Rave on Snow.
In 2008 the Berlin-based DJ and producer thought that the time had come do devote himself again to his solo career, thus he produced a few tracks and remixes fort he label Supdub Records. However, the collabortaion with other musicians has always been very important for Martin for letting the ideas influence itself. Said and done. And so he hooked up directly with Alfred Heinrichs (part oft the former DJ Duo Heinrichs&Hirtenfellner) in the studio. In addition to various EPs they then released the joint album „Hey Mate“ on Supdub, supported ba an exclusive album-tour. Six months later the solo album „Moi Baby“ was released. Martin is just not getting tired...
Since the beginning of 2013, Martin has joyned the booking agency KiddazFM. In 2014 he changed to Cubeplus Booking & Event Agency, where also the other Supdub artists are cared for.
In 2014 Martin published another album under the name "Live". Some of his tracks are still popular productions, such as "Sick Roots", "Live" and "Little Nicki" and he even made a "Live album tour" through Germany in 2014/2015. But that would not be all. With the international Djane and producer Nakadia he released two successful EPs, including "One More", which was presented and supported by First Edition.
The most memorable track of Martin is "I Know" to this day. In the beginning, this song was offered as a free download track and has been released on his label Carti Records later.
In 2015 further productions followed such as "Cataleya" on Artist Intelligence Agency (USA) and a 4-track EP on Supdub Records in cooperation with Hito (Minus, ENTER).
Now, there is a close collaboration with Simina Grigoriu and her music label Kuukou Records. In autumn 2016 his first release came out on Simina's brand.
„I love making music and it really motivated me when i see that my music touches the people“, says Martin. He never stops and thus it is not surprising that he is already working on new and interesting projects.
