For the first time ever Morgenstern's entire catalog has been made digitally available via Konsequent records – accompanied by a limited re-mastered series of eight 12” records that additionally feature remixes by artists such as Distant Echoes, Efdemin, Alexander Kowalski, Jonas Kopp, CTRLS, Stanislav Tolkachev, Psyk or Jeff Rushin to name a few. After 12 years, these releases also mark the return of Konsequent.

While Morgenstern is known for his influence in underground and experimental music, part of what makes his work so important is his flexible use of genre and it’s incorporation into techno. Beginning with the hard 90’s Techno of his early Konsequent releases to the dark, moody techno of Miscellaneous (Kanzleramt, 1997) to the visionary Tech-House of Lydia (Forte, 2000) to the smooth Electro-Pop of Hawaii Blue (Forte, 2001) his albums continuously displayed an uncanny dedication to exploration.

In celebration of this epic Tribute Series, German Artist Thomas Scheibitz has produced a very exclusive vinyl box.

Scheibitz's beautiful piece, a bespoken wooden coffer, is handmade, bedaubed, and limited and numbered to seven pieces (plus 2 AP).

It will be on view and available at Image Movement. Scheibitz will engross his thoughts on his artistic approach, and on art and music in general in an artists talk with Maral Salmassi at the opening starting at 6pm at Image Movement [Oranienburger Str. 18].

After the opening, we will continue the evening with the support of our friends from Monkeytown Records at ://about party partying along superb live– and dj–sets selected by Maral Salmassi.
