Form Follows Function is a principle associated with modernist architecture and industrial design of the 20th century. The principle claims that the shape of a building or object is primarily based upon its intended function or purpose.
Our event series called Form Followes Funktion refers to this principle and features international artists from two major movements: contemporary arts & advanced music.
At our first Form Follows Funktion edition in 2017 sounds and visualization flow through your body and through your veins. As for the contemporary arts the artist Ben Livne Weitzmann exhibits his projects "Zweibahnstraße" which is based on an experiment with lensless digital photography as well as his video "Reuam" where time doesn't seem to matter. On the musical site Prosumer and Ata, one of the faces behind famous Robert Johnson, are going to lead the night with some eclectic sci-fi House paired up with the groovy funkiness everyone needs. After Pavliné makes you sweat, Homopathik's Akirahawks takes over the decks for your daily disco portion.
Art, music and design students with a valid student card pay a reduced entrance fee of 10 EUR at the box office.
