Aufnahme + Wiedergabe starteten in 2011 als Plattform für all die Genres mit besonders düsterer Attitüde sowie als Auffangbecken für all diejenigen, denen die glorreiche New-Wave Zeit der 80er besonders am Herzen liegt. Inzwischen ist ein umtriebiges Label für Post-Punk, Industrial, Noise, Ambient und Techno entstanden, auf dem sich neben den Residents von Ancient Methods über Phase Fatale bis The Horrorist zahlreiche namenhafte Acts tummeln. Besonders hervor tun sich Sarin und Philipp Strobel durch ihre EBM-lastige Interpretation von Techno und moderner elektronischer Tanzmusik im Allgemeinen. Nicht nur ihre DJ-Sets klingen dadurch besonders dreckig, dunkel und roh. Zu hören ist das auch auf Sarins Current Conflict EP oder der dieses Jahr erschienenen Shifting Allegiance 12‘‘. Chloé Lula wiederum erweitert diesen Kontext um eine heruntergestrippte Komponente, die den rollenden Flow der Drums noch stärker in den Vordergrund hebt. Wer die popkulturelle Entwicklung von New Wave und anderen elektronischen Stilen der 80er Jahre bis hin zu Techno nicht selbst miterleben konnte, kann hier ein Stück Zeitgeschichte aufholen oder in Erinnerungen schwelgen, wenn man hautnah dabei war.

Aufnahme + Wiedergabe started in 2011 as a platform for all genres with a particularly gloomy attitude as well as a haven for those who are particularly close to the glorious New Wave of the 80s. Since then, a busy label for post-punk, industrial, noise, ambient and techno has emerged, with numerous well-known acts floating alongside the Residents from Ancient Methods, Phase Fatale and The Horrorist. Sarin and Philipp Strobel in particular show their EBM-heavy interpretation of techno and modern electronic dance music in general. It's not only do their DJ sets that sound particularly dirty, dark and raw. This can also be seen on Sarin's Current Conflict EP or the Shifting Allegiance 12 '' released this year. Chloé Lula, on the other hand, expands this context with a stripped back component, which makes rolling flow of the drums even more prominent. Anyone who couldn't experience the pop-cultur development of New Wave and other electronic styles from the 80s up to Techno can catch up here with a taste of the time or revel in memories of when you were there close up.
