LET'S STAY STUPID FOREVER!
Für die nunmehr siebente Veröffentlichung seines gleichnamigen Labels hat sich Locked Groove beim Titeltrack seiner EP „The Gate“ mit dem belgischen Kult-Produzenten Innershades zusammengetan. Als wirklich unkonventionell könnte man dessen grandioses letztjähriges Lofi-Electro-Album „The Beginning of the End“ bezeichnen, das für viele leider nur im Internet zu finden sein wird, da auf 50 Kassetten limitiert. Hingegen dürfte sein in den letzten fünf Jahren ordentlich gewachsener Output an verschiedensten, teils vollkommen unschuldig daherkommenden House- und Electro-Krachern auf Labels wie Créme Organization und Belters noch lang in den Clubs dieser Welt zu hören sein. Der mexikanische Mega-Star Rebolledo, auch bekannt als die eine Pachanga Boys-Hälfte, übernimmt im Anschluss zur Prime-Time den Grünen Raum, wonach Gastgeber Samuel Gieben sich ein gemeinsames DJ-Set mit Mister Insister-Betreiber DJ Teeth aka Santiago Lecce aus Buenos Aires gönnt. Das Opening-Set im Schwarzen Raum wird zudem vertrauensvoll in die Hände von Sabine Hoffmann übergeben, während der vom dänischen Duo Carlo & Selma warmgespielte Rote Raum von den beiden Rumänen Khidja mit experimentell gehaltenem Sound übernommen wird. Bis in die Mittagsstunden geleitet anschließend einmal mehr Budino. Der Absinth Raum gehört unterdessen all-night-long dem Kopenhagener Frederik Tollund.
For the seventh release on his own imprint Locked Groove joined forces with Belgian house producer Innershades. After a diversity of tracks on labels such as Créme Organization and Belters and also a collaboration with DJ Haus some weeks ago, the guy from the small city Aalst just came up last year with a fabulous lofi electro lp called „The Beginning of the End“. Even if highly recommended, it will surely only be found on the internet because of being limited to only 50 copies which sold as audio cassettes. The Mexican producer Rebolledo, well-known for his regulary appearances at Burning Man’s Mayan Warrior and as one half of the Pachanga Boys, takes over for the prime time slot at the Green Room, which will be closed by a back2back of co-host Samuel Gieben and Buenos Aires-born and now Berlin-based mastermind of Mister Insister DJ Teeth. Downstairs our resident Sabine Hoffmann opens the session for Locked Groove, while the Red Room offers some intimate and more experimental space for the dj-sets of Danish duo Carlo & Selma and our Romanian guests Khidja, who released on Malka Tuti this year. The last set goes to Budino this time, and will as usual last until noon or maybe longer. On top Frederik Tollund from Copenhagen takes care of our cozy Absinth Room all-night-long.
