Linn Elisabet: Subverting creative ”economies of desire”
(21:00-23:00)
In "Subverting creative 'economies of desire' (Preciado, 2018)", Linn Elisabet will talk about reimagination and agency of creative voice in music production. The workshop consists of a brief lecture, following an interactive workshop where the participants get to map their own creative desires, and make a one minute musical sketch that represents their subversion of norms in music production. Participants are strongly encouraged to bring their computer and headphones, however, the workshop can be taken with only pen and paper.

SUBVERTED is a label, podcast, and party series focusing on hard industrial techno infused with dark ambient, noise, EBM and hypnotic elements. Expect driving beats, hypnotising basslines, dark textures and anxious atmospheres.
We curate queer parties with equally queer line-ups, prioritising non-binary, trans and female identifying DJs and producers. Our intention is to lead the scene back to its roots of resistance, diversity, and social justice, and to put the focus back on the music and community building.

In this edition of the party, we are celebrating SUBVERTED’s release by Fluid. Fluid’s “Translating Emotions into Waveforms” sonically expresses the experience of existing as “the Other” in a world of compulsory homogeneity.
With each track, Fluid presents a tugging war between growing anxiousness and the grounding (but vulnerable) strength of authenticity by forcefully combining drifting hypnotic textures with raw and driving beats, thus delivering an energy balance throughout the EP that ranges from tense anticipation to an explosive, hard-hitting release.
