Arkaoda invites Fred Frith, one of UK’s most celebrated improvise guitar players of all time. Since the early 1970s Frith is redefining new music with solo works and collaborative projects alongside legends like Derek Bailey, Brian Eno, Bill Laswell, The Residents or Robert Wyatt. At Arkaoda the former Professor of Composition in the Music Department at Mills College Oakland, California, will perform with Turkish cellist Anıl Eraslan. Together they explore the dynamic universe of freely dancing notes, tripping on harmonic shifts, looped minimalism and catchy, yet complex melodies.
The opening act for their unique intimate show will be Berlin based composer and improvisor Richard Scott, performing his labyrinthic jazz influenced electro-acoustic music live.

A night for dauntless searchers, free-spirited drifters and all those cats, that like to trip on unforeseeable music, tuned in by globally famed masters of improvisation.
