Ever noticed that females*, trans, and non-binary people are underrepresented in the Hip Hop scene? Think about the last Hip Hop party you went to and ask yourself: were there any females* in the line-up? How about the music selection? And the hosts?
How come there are so few of us rocking this business? Let’s change that and create a space of empowerment and comfort for ourselves. To all the queens* living in Berlin: hoe__mies is where you belong, where you are respected, where you are represented.
Our line-ups will feature a selection of the baddest female*, non-binary, and trans siblings the Berlin DJ scene has to offer. We’ll play all the good stuff from the golden times of Hip Hop and RnB over to Trap, Grime, and Afrotrap with a focus on our favourite female* artists.
The night will be hosted by:

Ford Kelly (Dancehall, Hip Hop, Afrobeats)
Kakao Katzê (90s & 2000s RnB)
Jaxx On (Baile Funk, Reggaeton, Vogue)

Since this party is all about celebrating sistahood*, we want to give you queens* an opportunity to use hoe__mies as a platform for whatever creative stuff you’re working on. Holla at us and we’ll figure out a way to showcase your art in the future episodes.

Schon mal bemerkt, dass Frauen*, trans und non-binäre Personen in der Hip Hop Szene total unterrepräsentiert sind? Erinner’ dich mal an die letzte Hip Hop Party, auf der du warst: Gab’s weibliche* DJs im Line-Up? Wurden viele Tracks von Künstlerinnen* gespielt? Und unter den Veranstalter*innen, gab’s da Frauen*?
Wie kann es da sein, dass so wenige von uns in dieser Szene mitmischen? Lasst uns das ändern, indem wir einen Raum des Empowerments und Komforts für uns schaffen. An alle Queens* Berlins: hier gehört ihr her, hier werdet ihr respektiert, hier werdet ihr repräsentiert.
Unser Line-Up besteht aus den nicesten weiblichen*, non-binären und trans Geschwistern, die die Berliner DJ Szene zu bieten hat. Wir spielen all die gute Musik der goldenen Ära des Hip Hop und RnB sowie Trap, Grime und Afrotrap. Dabei legen wir einen Fokus auf unsere liebsten Künstlerinnen*.
