♫ Local Suicide

Berlin-based DJ duo and couple Brax Moody (Munich) and Vamparela (Thessaloniki) have been playing music together since 2007, either as a DJ duo, in bands, or as remixers and producers. Merging the rhythm and dynamism of Munich’s hip-hop clubs with the grime and attitude of Thessaloniki’s back-alley indie bars gives an idea of how to categorize Local Suicide: a straight-up soulful fusion of new wave, techno, acid and deep house, chug or as they like to call it “technodisco”.

As DJs they’ve played all over Europe, Asia, North Africa, South America and the US with gigs at Off Sonar, Melt!, Amsterdam Dance Event, Berlin Festival and regular DJ slots at Salon zur Wilden Renate, Berghain, Watergate, Ritter Butzke and almost every club the German capital has to offer whilst holding down day jobs in the music industry and running one of the top 10 independent music & lifestyle blogs in Germany with 50+ international editors. Rest assured that these two have honed their musical tastes and chops.

Having organized parties, festivals, and moderated radio shows for years, Local Suicide are just as much at ease inside the booth as they are outside. June 2014 saw them release their debut single We can go everywhere on Bordello a Parigi alongside remixes from In Flagranti, Richard Rossa and Inigo Vontier. The release has been supported by XLR8R, Thump, Dj Mag, Mixmag, De:Bug amongst many others and We can go everywhere adds a major stone to the duo’s path to major world disco take-over.

♫ Mz Sunday Luv

Born 1982 in Canada with Greek Heritage. Currently residing in Berlin, Germany.
Sunday from a very young age was already well accustomed to the music industry and lifestyle. Her mother was a well established Greek vocalist that toured with her threw out Australia, Europe, North America & England. From youth Mz Luv had already had many experiences with performing and production.

Although Sunday's music has an electronic sound their is always a hypnotic element of the orient intertwined with her melodies, beats, & vocals. Her story with sound came at a time when clubs where not prevalent rather temporary venues would be announced few hours prior to the event to avoid closer from authorities....a truly underground experience.

With the dawning of Club Culture Sunday found work opportunities in the night life as a performing artists initially working with fire, not sound. During the days Mz Luv worked as a professional piercer in highly respected tattoo and piercing studios.

Sunday's knowledge of electronic music grew while studying at the Recording Arts Institute of Canada in Montreal. At that time she was promoting the clubs and festivals of the city allowing her to be exposed to styles and sounds of artists she would respect, learn from, and later also work with.

Mz Luv initially began promoting parties and hosting events. With time she began to Dj and perform live, logically this led into production and once the tracks reached the people international tour offers began coming in.

Sunday is an artist known for her passion with sound and stage...and reputation of a live show that will not be forgotten.
