Mit Sub_Bar startet Eufonia eine neuartige Veranstaltungsreihe in Portugal und Deutschland, die
die Wahrnehmung von Musik und Subfrequenzen sowie unseren Tastsinn erforscht.
Unser "Tastsinn", der von der Kompositionspraxis überwiegend ignoriert wird, beherbergt unsere tiefsten Erinnerungen und instinktiven Reaktionen. Er spricht eine Sprache des Schmerzes und der Freude, der Traumata und des Trostes, des Sommers und des Winters. Was passiert, wenn wir ihn mit Musik stimulieren? Wir haben gehörlose, hörgeschädigte und hörende Künstler:innen eingeladen, originelle Werke zu schaffen, die ausschließlich mit Subfrequenzen arbeiten - genauer gesagt mit Frequenzen zwischen 30 und 150 Hz: Ihre Kompositionen werden über ein leistungsfähiges Subwoofer-System abgespielt, das den Veranstaltungsort in eine musikalische Druckkammer verwandelt und ein einzigartiges Hörerlebnis ermöglicht, das den ganzen Körper aktiviert.
Die Sub_Bar Veranstaltungen bestehen aus Sub-Installationen, Live-Performances, haptischen Kunstwerken und Musikproduktions-Workshops. Elektronische Musikgrößen wie Byetone, Gründer des renommierten Labels Raster Noton, Deaf Rave-Mastermind dj Troi Lee und Subfrequenz-Expertin Stefanie Egedy sind neben anderen internationalen Künstler:innen für die einzigartigen Sub-Werke verantwortlich. Ergänzt werden diese durch die Live-Performance "Blink Time", eine Erkundung von Zeit, Masse und Kommunikation von Sub_Bar Resident und Eufonia-Gründer Atelier Francesco, "Sub-Bass Relaxation Session", eine sorgfältig entwickelte Stimulation für das Nervensystem, kreiert von Stefanie Egedy, sowie andere haptische Kunstwerke von lokalen Künstler:innen, die speziell für Sub_Bar geschaffen wurden.
Sub_Bar ist eine Vision, die sich Subfrequenzen widmet. Wir schaffen einen Raum, der die Besucher:innen einlädt, zu interagieren und Musik auf innovative, inklusive und immersive Weise zu erleben.

With Sub_Bar, Eufonia launches a pioneering series of events exploring music, subfrequencies and the haptic sense.
Ignored by compositional practices, our sense of "touch" is home to our deepest memories and most instinctive reactions, talking a language of pain and pleasure, traumas and comfort, summer and winter. What happens when we stimulate it with music? We invited hearing, hearing impaired, and deaf artists to create original works using only subfrequencies, more specifically, frequencies between 30hz and 150hz: their compositions will be played through a powerful subwoofer system, transforming Crack Bellmer into a musical pressure room, for a unique listening experience that activates the whole body.
Electronic music heavyweight Byetone, founder of the renowned label Raster Media, Deaf Rave mastermind dj Troi Lee, and subfrequencies expert Stefanie Egedy, are some of those responsible for composing these unique Sub Works, alongside other international diverse artists coming from sound and silence.
We'll also host reactive installations and other haptic works created specifically for Sub_Bar, and the live performance "Blink Time" a show about time, mass and communication by Sub_Bar resident and Eufonia co-founder Atelier Francesco, "Sub-Bass Relaxation Session", a carefully created stimulation for the nervous system, created by Stefanie Egedy, and other haptic installations.
Sub_Bar is a vision dedicated to sub-frequencies, a space that invites everyone to meet, interact and experience music in an innovative, inclusive, and immersive way.
