Possible Futures present The Hot Run
Edition Number 4.

Edition number four of the Else summer is a local affair with some international spice, with Kreuzberg label Possible Futures returning for another dose of musical madness in their hometown sun.

Fresh off the back of her splendid debut album, Significant Changes, Jayda G arrives at Else as one of the most sought-after names in electronic music. A two-hour sundown slot is sure to inspire the Canadian artist’s finest fun-filled house and disco selections, kick-starting the late-night antics led by Gilb’R and Bufiman. Gilb'R, the head of Versatile Records and half of Chateau Flight, is an encyclopedic DJ; Dekmantel Records’ own Bufiman is one of the powers behind Dusseldorf's Salon Des Amateurs; and they’ll also join forces for a two-hour B2B, pushing each other to dig that little bit deeper into their record bags.

Daytime tunes will be served up by Curious Paul. The French artist’s worldview takes in everything from EBM to disco, from house and global rhythms, to the best of synth pop; this is an opening set to come around early for.

The Possible Futures head will be followed by a rare Berlin appearance from Eric Duncan, one half of legendary NYC DJ duo Rub-n-Tug, and Sadar Bahar, another vinyl junkie. The Chicago DJ describes his vinyl-buying habit as a "30-year disease, a sickness,” driven by an "unquenchable desire to create one of the best collections ever.” Expect to hear some rare, undiscovered cuts old and new, spanning disco, soul, gospel, and house. His two-hour set is likely to be one of the highlights of a jam-packed summer.

On late night duties is Alison Swing, the self-described vinyl junkie originating from Los Angeles. Swing has dedicated herself to exploring sounds that can make a body move, a skill she’s put to use spinning alongside selectors such as Axel Boman, The Black Madonna, Jeremy Underground, and DJ Sprinkles. With her curator-in-crime, Masha, she is also a resident DJ of Dig Deeper, the party series in-the-know locals flock to that pushes warm house, euphoric disco, Scandinavian beats, romantic techno, and everything in between—the weirder and funkier, the better.

The party starts at 2pm on May 19. Get there early to get the party started!
