Room I's global lineup is presented in collaboration with Puticlub, a project dedicated to promoting Latinx, diaspora, QTPOC artists through showcasing perreo, sandungueo, champeteo, cumbiazo, baile funk, merengazo, guaracha, 3bal genres y de todito!

The explosive, infectious Ivicore is a Venezuelan DJ and producer weaving together trap, reggaeton, kuduro, afrobeats, and everything in between.

Earlier this year, pop polymath Lafawndah released her debut album, Ancestor Boy. Her work, described as “labyrinths of genre and style that teem with trapdoors,” (Pitchfork) winds across such a wide array of influences that it’s near-impossible to pinpoint.

Hailing from Mexico is MUXXXE, the visual artist, rapper, and DJ. Their shows promise ardent vocals; fiery, low-slung rhythms; and arresting stage presence too.

Tomasa del Real is the Chilean producer and vocalist credited with “mak[ing] reggaetón hits that put women in the driver’s seat.” (The Fader) Animated by popular music’s ability to bring people together, del Real catalysed a new subgenre, earning herself the title “La Reina del Neoperreo.”

Moesha 13 sings, performs, DJs, and produces a unique blend of French rap, hardcore, reggaeton, and more. Winding autotuned vocals collide with gadjicore, hip hop, gabber, and even metal, both in her wild, unruly sets and in her own productions.

The collaboration between DJ Scotch Egg & Khanja & MC Yallah was spawned from the CTM and Musicboard Berlin-supported residency at Nyege Nyege’s Kampala studios; fiery vocals and dense wails strike atop tumbling, syncopated percussion and weighty drones.

Colombian artist Isa GT draws from cumbia, house, Baltimore club, baile funk, kuduro, and everything in between. As Etoro’s label boss, she works to support Latinx artists, an aim also evident in her frequent collaborations.

Take a sip and do the dip! Berlin club collective Ghettoraid take over Griessmuehle’s room 2 for a night of booty bass, ghetto house, and all good things in between. Heating up the dancefloor will be jpeg.love, Souci, Tamila, Turk & Fin, Young Lychee, $ombi, DJ Fucks Himself, and friends, percolating the likes of footwork and juke in a cheap DJ mixer to create Ghettoraid: the jukin' juice!

The night takes place as part of CTM Festival 2020 – Liminal, taking place 24.1-2.2.2020. The festival’s 21st edition brings together a wide-ranging programme to propose multiple entry points into this year’s theme. Liminal phenomena and states are transitional phases in which a familiar order sees its values and symbols destabilised; norms are suspended or turned on their heads. We find ourselves in ambiguous spaces, somewhere between a past that is no longer valid and an ever-becoming future. With Liminal, CTM 2020 throws itself into limbo in hopes of stimulating a critical discussion of our present and possible futures.
