This Music Pool evening looks into ways for musicians to work together in a collective. How to develop skills together, how to support each other, or how to run a music project with a group of people? How do musicians organize themselves in collective structures? What are ideas and examples that counter the narrative of the solo artist as lonely competing entrepreneur, struggling with everything her/himself?

We will screen a newly released short documentary about Team Supreme (http://beatteamsupreme.com/) in Los Angeles, a collective that has come together around weekly beat cyphers.
Steve Nalepa (http://stevenalepa.com/) and other Team Supreme members will be available online to join our conversation in Berlin. Ralf Kleinermanns, director of the documentary produced by Ableton, will be present.

Members of the Berlin based Through My Speakers collective (http://www.throughmyspeakers.com/), as well as the female:pressure network (http://www.femalepressure.net/) will share their experiences. A new Berlin based collective will talk about their first steps. More music collectives are invited to join.
