Who’s who?

Audiences know Lerato Khathi as Lakuti, a staple at hallowed institutions like Panorama Bar and Freerotation festival, often spotted behind the decks with Tama Sumo. Having moved to London from South Africa in the '90s, she started a series of parties called Süd Electronic together with her lifelong friend Alan Abrahams, AKA Portable. One thing led to another and she started an agency, Uzuri. As a DJ, Khati pushes a sound as open-ended as it is distinct: deep and richly organic, touched by a rawness that echoes her first love, Chicago house. For the occasion, Lerato will treat us to a SA inspired set.

One of Cape Town's best loved vinyl DJs, Pierre-Estienne, whose regular celebration of music on wax, Vinyl DIGZ, has gained a solid and sizable following as the premiere party for people to connect and celebrate vinyl culture. He is also part of the Private Life collective. Pierre has been collecting records since roughly 1984 and DJing since 1999, having traveled the world crate digging from Tokyo to Berlin.

Belgium born, Berlin based DJ Gratts has spent the best part of two decades lugging bags of excellent records around Europe, and latterly Asia and Australia with increasing frequency. His deep knowledge of groove-heavy, dancefloor-ready music affords him versatility - he’s as comfortable playing alongside Steffi or DJ Sprinkles as Hunee or András Fox. As well as an able selector, he’s a keen curator-collaborator: he produces music with Eluize as Ca$hminus and runs the ensemble label with Kong.
