PHONATIC celebrates his birthday and presents himself and you with a DJ set by UK's techno and house legend "Aubrey".
It was 1990 when Allen Saei aka Aubrey started releasing his own music on the prestigious Ozone Recordings label. Soon after, he launched his own label Solid Groove Records, which has released more than 30 EPs by artists such as Mark Ambrose and Transparent Sound. Allen Aubrey himself is considered one of the hardest working British producers of our time and his material has always been supported by key figures in the scene such as Derrick May, Carl Cox and Jeff Mills. Until today his old and current releases are not to be excluded from the record bags of trueschoolers like Efdemin, XDB, Steffi, DVS1, Jane Fitz - and of course Phonatic . His sound oscillates somewhere between groovy 90s techno and Chicago-tinged house, while as a DJ he masterfully knows how to combine the dance floor with the necessary portion of soulfulness.
