Ron Bacardi pres. F*ck Disco Demolition:

Purveyors of Fine Funk (Live)
John Swing vs EMG
Ron Bacardi (Ben Sims)

40 years ago on July 12, 1979, Radio ‘DJ' Steve Dahl organised the mass destruction of Disco records at Comiskey Park in Chicago to boost his ailing listenership. This resulted in a rally against the very essence of disco, an act which has quite rightly been deemed as a racist and homophobic expression.

Some history books might have this event down as the end of disco but, in truth, it was far from it. Four decades later, that scene and the music continues to influence modern culture and without it there would be no house music and no rave culture.

So, we say F*CK DISCO DEMOLITION and invite you to join us for a night of inspirational sounds from this mighty fine line up of selectors, all of whom have been positively destroying disco grooves for years ;-)

Dan Curtins legendary alter-ego ‘Purveyors of Fine Funk’ (Peacefrog/Metamorphic ) drops his debut live performance and John Swing and EMG (Livejam/Relative/Phoenix G) join us for a rare back to back Dj set while Ben Sims' house/disco alias, Ron Bacardi (Bass Culture/Razor n Tape) will be completing the line up in his signature style.
