Bald ist mal wieder Welt-Aids-Tag. Vielleicht kennst du ihn bereits als Solidaritätstag für an HIV Erkrankte und an AIDS Verstorbene. Doch ist der Tag für die meisten noch immer etwas, was mit ihrem Leben nichts zu tun hat.

Der Fakt, dass an HIV Erkrankte mit heute verfügbaren Medikamenten ganz gut leben können, hat mit Sicherheit schon eine Menge Menschen erreicht. Unbekannt ist jedoch vielen, dass Menschen unter Therapie (d. h. Menschen, die täglich ein HIV-Medikament einnehmen und unter der Virusnachweisgrenze sind) das Virus selbst beim Sex ohne Kondom nicht weitergeben können. Dieses Wissen hat bisher leider erst wenige erreicht!

Seit über 10 Jahren ist dies bekannt und durch Studien mehrfach bestätigt worden. Ich habe dies auch bei meiner Rede auf dem Zug der Liebe 2018 und mit einer Aktion zusammen mit pro plus berlin im Januar (Flying Condoms) proklamiert.

Den Welt-Aids-Tag nehme ich zum Anlass, um dieses Wissen erneut einer großen Bevölkerungsgruppe zugänglich zu machen:

Es mir schon seit langer Zeit wichtig, die Angst vor HIV und AIDS speziell in der heterogenen Gesellschaft abzubauen. Darum organisiere ich diese Party. Mit kräftiger Unterstützung vom Zug der Liebe, den Grossstadtvögel, von ICH LIEBE MEIN LEBEN, dem Polygon Club Berlin, von der Berliner Aids-Hilfe e.V. und vielen anderen werden wir den Start des Welt-AIDS-Tag´s gebührend feiern.
Außerdem konnten wir als Mitternachts-Show-Act die amtierende Miss CSD Gaby Tupper für ein Bühnenprogramm gewinnen.

It is WORLD AIDS DAY soon, a day held in respect to all the victims of AIDS and dedicated to raising awareness of HIV infection.
Yet it is also a day far off the daily routine of many people.

The medication nowadays enables HIV-infected people to live quite an ordinary life which is something that the majority of people already know. However it is relatively unknown that people in therapy (i.e. people taking HIV medicine daily) won’t transmit the virus even though they have unprotected sex. So basically, having an undetectable viral load greatly reduces the risk of passing on HIV to someone else. HIV treatment is as effective as consistent condoms use in preventing HIV transmission.

I’m going to use the world aids day as an opportunity to share the knowledge with a large amount of people. It is very important to me to help people to get past the fear of HIV and AIDS which is also the reason for the upcoming party.
With massive support from Zug der Liebe, Grossstadtvögel, ICH LIEBE MEIN LEBEN, Polygon Club Berlin, Berliner Aids-Hilfe e.V.and many others we will celebrate the world aids day appropriately ;o)

On top of that we managed to get the current MISS CSD Gaby Tupper for the midnight show-act.
