The label Mahogani Music was founded by Detroit Techno & House legend Kenny Dixon Jr. aka Moodymann back in 2002. On his imprint he features artists from all across the globe like Andres, J Dilla and Dan Shake. As well as Moodymann, the label primarily stands for dance music utilizing classic Soul and Jazz samples, low-slung bass lines and an approach to drum programming that is directly opposed to the tendency to consistently push the tempo faster.

We’re super excited for the first Mahogani Music Night in Berlin with Moodymann stepping into our booth one more time. Besides him, super talented Detroit based Amp Fiddler joins this special occasion with his Berlin live debut. In the past he has shared stages and studios with everyone from Prince to George Clinton to Primal Scream. Amp Fiddler recently released his album "Amp Dog Knights" on Mahogani Music in November 2017. His warm, expansive a smooth music takes stylistic cues from all these encounters, but still emerges as earthy, supremely relaxed and rooted in the Funk and Soul that Amp feels most connected to. Supporting these fine gentleman, is no other than Austrian based Detroit-Afficionada Flo Real and Berlin collective AWAY Soundsystem back-2-back Prince Charles' Resident Tim Vitá. Let’s boogie!
