As we've had a fantastic time at Prince Charles over the last year, we’ll continue our messy house vibe sessions with international taste-maker & producer Julio Bashmore tonight. Co-pilot of our flight will be the up and coming DJ Boring, as well as our home grown talents Jesse & Vinc.
It might seem counterintuitive for a producer to detach themselves from one of the planet's most thriving music scenes, but in the case of Julio Bashmore, that's exactly what he did growing up in bass music hotbed, Bristol. You see, Julio's first love is house music. And operating just on the peripheries of the city's scene has allowed him to quietly cultivate a take on the genre unlike any other.
DJ Boring exploded on to the scene with the legend 'Winona', a track that is both tinged with sadness and heart thumping beauty. He is now one of the most prolific members of the so called lo-fi scene- typified by crunchy kicks and hazy pads. Who knows what he has to offer, but with 32kg of vinyl there's bound to be some obscure bangers.
