Manchmal entstehen die besten Dinge aus Versehen. Das Ritter Rodeo war eine eher spontane Kreation der Section 8 Berlin Crew, erdacht, um den Berliner Untergrundgeist in einem der größten und großartigsten Clubs der Stadt zu stärken - dem Ritter Butzke. Mit seiner fantastischen Ausstattung ist dieser Ort einer der letzten Hochburgen elektronischer Musik in Kreuzberg, wo viele andere Freiräume dieser Art der Gentrifizierung weichen mussten. Ritter Butzke bleibt eine Institution, die für ihre erstklassigen Line-Ups berühmt ist. Zu Beginn unseres magischen Sommers entschieden wir eine Institution innerhalb einer Institution und somit das Ritter Rodeo zu bilden. Da Ritter auch der Name der jener Straße ist, in welcher der Club sich befindet, dachten wir, dass ein Ritter auf einem rasenden Bullen mehr ist als nur ein lustiges Wortspiel. Dahinter steht der Gedanke, wilde Berliner Nächte zu erschaffen, in welchen die DJ’s und die Crew euch auf eine holperige Reise nehmen, die in dieser Stadt kein vorhersehbares Ende hat. Bei diesem Rodeo reitet ihr auf der Atmosphäre, getragen von sensationeller zeitloser Musik, vollführt durch die Kraft der Soundsysteme und meisterhaften Künstlern. Dieses Mal versammeln wir verschiedenste Ritter an der runden Tafel. Manche sind wohl bekannte Figuren und andere reisten weit aus fernen Ländern.
In der großen Arena, dem Ölfasslager, sehen wir:
Kadosh - Tel-Aviv's hellsten aufsteigenden Stern.
Phonique - bei seinem zweiten Rodeobesuch.
Gunnar Stiller - ein Mann, der Berlin definiert.
Yetti Meissner - Sisyphos’ Technosternchen.
und Techno Jesus: Section 8’s Spezialagent für melodische Closings.
Auf dem zweiten Floor, dem Dampfer, wird die berüchtigte Criminal Bassline Crew ihre Stärke zeigen: mit
vom Feisten, Mike Book und Mr.Schug.
Der dritte Floor, die Grauzone, ist Heimat der Section 8ler. Soul Bait wird mit einem süßen Geschmack von Soul und House und Disco beginnen, bevor Syriantal den Hauptteil der Nacht mit melodischen und orientalischen Beats füllt.

Sometimes the best things happen accidently. Ritter Rodeo was a rather instant creation of the Section 8 Berlin crew, designed to strengthen the Berliner underground spirit in one of the city's largest and greatest venues - Ritter Butzke. With its incredible setup, this venue is one of the last strongholds the electronic music in Kreuzberg - where most venues were forced to shut down or to move due to intensifying gentrification. Ritter Butzke remained an institute, known mostly for top notch lineups. Earlier around the beginning of our magical summer of 2018, we decided to create an institution inside the institution and form the Ritter Rodeo. Since Ritter means "knight" in German and refers to the name of the street in which the club is located, we thought that putting a knight on top of a raging bull could be more than just a funny word game. The notion behind it is to create wild Berliner nights in which our DJs and crew take you on a bumpy journey that in this city has no predictable end. Imagine the DJs being the bulls and yourselves to be riding them. In the background, a slightly different soundtrack than the familiar Rodeo's country music. We replaced it with the soundtrack of Berlin, the kind that shapes the present and future of electronic music in the whole world.
This edition of Ritter Rodeo summons several knights to the round table. Some are well known figures and some travelled from distant lands.
On the main arena, the Ölfasslager, we will have:
Kadosh - Tel-Aviv's brightest rising star.
Phonique - on his second Rodeo gathering.
Gunnar Stiller - a man than defines Berlin.
Yetti Meissner - Sisyphos techno starlet.
and Techno Jesus: Section 8's special agent for melodic closings.
On the second floor, the Dampfe, the notorious Criminal Bassline crew will showcase its strength with:
vom Feisten, Mike Book and Mr.Schug.
The third floor, the Grauzone, is home to the Section 8ers. It will commence with a sweet taste of Soulful House and disco with Soul Bait and will continue for the main portion of the night with melodic and oriental beats by Syriantal.
