Kresse 3 is the herb peeking out from the cracks between the cobblestones. You might call it post-punk, recognize the euphoric energy of Krautrock, or hear the old melancholy of German-language indie pop.

All these influences are certainly present—you can hear echoes of Element of Crime, CAN, Wanda, Tocotronic, or International Music. And in the vocal harmonies—if you have a big enough heart—even the Beatles. Yet, the whole thing is driven primarily by the urge to find new imagery; to tell stories of setting out, of desires, of futility, of stumbling, and of momentum and high spirits all at once—warm and sad, both together: beautiful!
“It is these contradictory melancholies, the constant falling while rising, the echo of bleak German landscapes despite the sunshine, that make this appetizingly presented release so alluring” – Hilka Dirks, *taz*Ultimately, we make music that we enjoy. We hope you enjoy it too. As
Konni sings: “We live the love that no one was waiting for.” To us, that is a love
that deserves to be heeded (and heard!).
Tickets are available on Resident Advisor and at the door. Resident Advisor ticket does not guarantee entry; purchased tickets will be refunded in that case.
