Seit nunmehr sieben Jahren definiert die von 22Rockets und The Swift kuratierte „Voyage, Voyage“ das Klangbild der Renate außerhalb der altbekannten Berliner Feierszene entscheidend durch ein Booking, das sich gern auch nach dem Inhalt der eigenen Plattenkiste richtete und somit oftmals in Berlin noch kaum bekannte Künstler in die Stadt brachte. So verhielt es sich auch beim Litauischen Manfredas, der sich inzwischen mit seinem Remix auf der sofort vergriffenen Renate Schallplatten-Nummer vier verewigte und inzwischen mit seiner Reihe „Smala“ im heimischen Opium Club zu einem der bekanntesten Gesichter der dortigen DJ-Kultur aufstieg. Ebenso der durch seine Veröffentlichungen auf Lobster Theremin und dessen Sub-Label Distant Hawaii bekannt gewordene DJ Sonikku, dessen außergewöhnliche Sets leider bisher in Berlin eher ungehört sind. Zudem wird das Duo Syn3a im Schwarzen Raum in eine Live-Performance integriert, was auch zukünftig einen größeren Teil der Veranstaltungsreihe ausmachen wird. Begleitet durch DJ-Sets von Lux und weiteren engen Freunden und Wegbegleitern wie dem Portugiesen Photonz oder dem Duo SHMLSS werden übrigens auch einige Secret Guest an noch geheimen Orten spielen.
Voyage Voyage, curated by 22Rockets and The Swift, celebrates 7 years of shaping the sound of Renate. A sound, a vibe different then of the well-known Berlin scene.
The pair curate with their bookings which are influenced by their own record crates. The Voyage line-up that often results in bringing to Berlin yet unknown talent into the city. We not only found great talent but we nurture and grow with the artists.
One of which is lithuanian artist Manfredas, who had contributed to the quickly sold out Renate Schallplatten 04 and rose to success with his series “Smala“, at his home club Opium to one of the most important sounds of the DJ culture.
Hailing from the boroughs of East London, the video game playing sexy boy: Dj Sonikku. He became known with his releases on Lobster Theremin and it’s sub-label Distant Hawaii, and whose meaty synth sets are still to be discovered in Berlin.
The duo Syn3A will contribute in a spatial installation in the Black Room, which will be an integral part of Voyage in the future.
Accompanied with DJ sets by Lux and close friends and fellow Voyagers like Photonz from Portugal and SHMLSS. We have more secret guests which will perform in hidden spaces in true Renate style.
