Herzlich willkommen und hereinspaziert zum großen Schnapszahl-Jubiläum, liebe Bordel-Familie. Vor 11 Jahren startete unser mittlerweile global bekannter Musik-Kunst-Cocktail als wöchentlicher, vorabendlicher Weinbar-Event in der Lucas Carrieri Artgallery in der Torstraße mit 30 Gästen, bevor wir dann in der Sandstrand-Oase Schönwetter* am Mauerpark erstmals „allnightlong" einluden und damit der Cookies Tradition folgend den Donnerstag als Ausgehtag und das damalig relativ neue Konzept „arty party“ manifestierten. Danach hatten wir die Ehre als jeweils erste in frisch eröffneten Clubs - Asphalt, Chalet und Fiese Remise - unausgetretene Pfade zu beschreiten, bis wir bekanntlich in der Renate unsere Heimat fanden.
Der Bordel-Geburtstag wird auch in diesem Jahr fast ausschließlich mit Freunden und Wegbegleitern der letzten Dekade zelebriert wie auch JAKE THE RAPPER, THE SORRY ENTERTAINER, MITJA PRINZ, LEON LICHT, MIRCO NIEMEIER, A.D.H.S, COCO, FOOLIK, JOSEPH DISCO, POLYTOXIKOMANIE, N.E.O. aka ANNIE O., JAN EHRET, MARCII MOTO, AANTIGEN, Live-Act VIKTOR TALKING MACHINE - mit der offiziellen Vinyl Record Release ihres Remixes von Andhims „Windows85“ - sowie einer unserer absoluten Lieblings-Dj-Queens, die schon zu legendären Schönwetter*-Zeiten als Homie dabei war und selbst jetzt als große internationale Headlinerin immer noch treu zu uns steht: welcome back NAKADIA!! Zudem freuen wir uns sehr die BDA-Premieren-Gäste MIKE SPIRIT aus Moskau sowie die Superduos ORDINARY SUBJECT und EMBASSY OF EMPATHY begrüßen zu dürfen.
Und von den BdA Allstar-Residents sind diesmal CASIMIR VON OETTINGEN, MIKE BOOK, DANIEL JAEGER, ELECTRONIC ELEPHANT, VOM FEISTEN, MARTIN KA sowie JURIE MEMBER, DAENSEN, TOMISLAV, TIMO REPLAY, RICKSTER, SENAY B. und MARCOLINYO mit am Start.
Aber die eigentliche Sensation des Jubiläums ist die temporäre Ausstellung des weltweit renommierten und mit größten noch lebenden Pop-Art / Art-Modeste Künstlers des 20. Jahrhunderts:
BORDEL DES ARTS pres. Jim Avignon „ROAD TO AVIGNON“
"Ich male lieber 1000 Bilder für einen Dollar als ein Bild für 1000 Dollar“ Zentrales Motiv in der Kunst des Jim Avignon ist die Schnelligkeit, der Ausdruck des „Lebensgefühls der Generation Techno“ und „das Scheitern des Individuums“ in einer sich ständig beschleunigenden Welt. Trotz der an die Popkultur angelehnten Umsetzung beziehen sich Avignons Bilder oft kritisch auf die Gegenwartsprobleme wie Korruption oder den Mangel an wirklicher Kommunikation in der sogenannten Informationsgesellschaft. Großes auch internationales Aufsehen erregte er mit der Übermalung seines eigenen unter Denkmalschutz stehenden Eastside Gallery Gemäldes, was ihm ein Strafverfahren einbrachte, den unter Sammlern heiß begehrten von ihm designten Swatch Uhren oder das weltbekannte 2800qm-Gemälde, was er zur Wiedereröffnung des Berliner Olympiastadiums anfertigte. Wir sind schon sehr gespannt, was uns der erklärte Bordel-Sympathisant der ersten Stunde im Kunstsalon auf dem Hof der Renate - 23.00-06.00 - präsentieren wird..aber felsenfest steht, dass man das wohl besser nicht verpassen sollte..;)

Welcome and come in for our big schnapps anniversary, dear Bordel family. 11 years ago, our now globally known music-art cocktail started as a weekly, pre-late night wine bar event in the Lucas Carrieri Artgallery in Torstraße with 30 guests, before we invited "allnightlong" for the first time in the sandy beach oasis Schönwetter* at Mauerpark, thus following the Cookies tradition and manifesting Thursday as a day out and the new concept "arty party". Afterwards we had the honour to be the first to tread untrodden paths in the newly opened clubs Asphalt, Chalet and Fiese Remise, until we found our home in the Renate.
The Bordel birthday will be celebrated this year almost exclusively with friends and companions of the last decade as well as JAKE THE RAPPER, THE SORRY ENTERTAINER, MITJA PRINZ, LEON LICHT, MIRCO NIEMEIER, A.D.H.S, COCO, FOOLIK, JOSEPH DISCO, POLYTOXIKOMANIE, N.E.O. aka ANNIE O., JAN EHRET, MARCII MOTO, AANTIGEN, Live-Act VIKTOR TALKING MACHINE - with the official vinyl record release of their remix of Andhim's "Windows85" - as well as one of our absolute favourite DJ-Queens, who was already there as Homie during legendary Schönwetter* times and who is still loyal to us as a great international headliner: welcome back NAKADIA! "I'd rather paint a thousand pictures for a dollar than a picture for a thousand dollars" The central motif in the art of Jim Avignon is speed, the expression of the "attitude to life of the techno generation" and "the failure of the individual" in an ever accelerating world. In spite of their pop-culture-based realization, Avignon's images often critically refer to contemporary problems such as corruption or the lack of real communication in the so-called information society. He caused a great deal of international attention with the repainting of his own Eastside Gallery painting, which is a listed building, which brought him criminal proceedings, the Swatch watches he designed, which are much sought-after by collectors, and the world-famous 2800 square meter painting he made for the reopening of the Berlin Olympic Stadium. We are already very curious what the declared Bordel sympathizer will present to us in the art salon in the courtyard of Renate - 23.00-06.00 - ...
