The place was called «Dream Baby Dream». A quite cheesy name for a bar, if you ask me. I was about to leave, searching for my jacket. I found it all crumpled and wretched in one of the beer and ash stained corners of a shabby couch. Thoughts about the only thing that would have been worth staying in this rotten dive were flashing through my head. Leave it, I told myself, when suddenly a piercing tension filled the room. I headed towards the big glass door. The green light of the exit sign shone promisingly in the dark. A reflection on the glass caught my attention. It became bigger the closer I got. Starting with black leather boots, snow white legs framed by a long latex coat, a snug creme-coloured top, barely covering a thin waste and eventually ending up into a strikingly beautiful face with two slanting eyes fixed on my back. She was standing on top of the stairs, that lead into another room of the bar, her fingers holding tight on the railing. Her appearance reminded me of a pagan goddess, a forbidden and sinful idol whom her subjects are not allowed to gaze upon. I stopped infront of the door, carefully placing my hand on the door handle...and turned around
