Diese Liquid-Ausgabe ist mit allen Wassern gewaschen: Special Request, der als Paul Woolfoord schon manche House-Anthems kredenzte, ist seit den "Modern Warfare"-EPs auf XL Recordings auch als Jungle-Erneuerer in aller Munde und sorgt regelmäßig mit ravigen Dubstep-Brettern wie "Brainstorm" auf dem Fabric-Label Houndstooth für Furore. Mit in den Schwarzen Raum bringt das UK-Urgestein Breakwave, die mit ihren Meine Nacht-Partys Liverpool unsicher macht, während Baron Castle vom Berliner Imprint Myth Music druckvollen Techno abliefert. Im Roten Raum teilen sich DJ Sports und sein Bruder DJ Central vom dänischen Regelbau-Kollektiv die Decks, was einen ausgetüfftelten Mix aus Rave, Jungle und Power-House wie auf der trippigen "Modern Species"-LP oder ihren breakigen Help Recordings-Platten verspricht. Mit seiner ganz eigenen Mischung aus Disco und Folklore ist der Japaner Que Sakamoto von Huit Etoiles unterwegs und Renate-Resident The Swift sorgt wieder für kontrollierte Volleskalation. Den Grünen Raum mischen drei exquisite Berliner DJs auf: Maayan Nidam, die gerade mit "Sea Of Thee" auf Perlon ihr erstes Album seit sechs Jahren vorlegt, und Hubble von Sleep Is Commercial mit dubbigem Minimal, Alienata von der Killekill-Crew mit Electro bis Acid.
This edition of Liquid is one for the books: Special Request, who already released many house anthems as Paul Woolfoord, has also established himself as a jungle innovator ever since the "Modern Warfare"-EPs on XL Recordings and regulary causes a furor on the Fabric label Houndstooth with ravy dubstep monsters like "Brainstorm".
