Electro - eines der ältesten elektronischen Musik Genres und zugleich am unbeachtetsten.
Wer das Wort Electro nur als übergeordneten Begriff für elektronische Musik versteht, wird hier sicherlich einiges vermissen.
Den meisten fiele hier sofort der kühle Sound von Kraftwerk ein, aber auch die funkigen Rhythmen, die man vom Breakdance kennt gehören dazu. Man sieht hier schon, dass es ein weit gefasstes Genre ist, welches man vielleicht am besten mit folgenden Worten umreißen kann: Drum Machine, Synthesizer, Science Fiction, Future, Robots, Funk.
Grund genug, die unterschiedlichen Formen des Genres auszukundschaften, wie es mit unserer neue X:PLORATION Serie angedacht ist. Hier gehen wir auf Reisen in die unendlichen Electro Weiten von Oldschool bis Newschool und auch etwas über die Grenzen hinaus, wo es interessante Schnittmengen gibt.
Bei unseren ersten Start haben wir eine kompetente Mannschaft an Bord!
DMX KREW wird sicher jedem ein Begriff sein, da er uns schon seit nunmehr über 20 Jahren mit diesem Material versorgt. Seine Releases auf Reflex spiegeln genau diesen weiten Electro Kosmos wider und natürlich hat er auf fast jedem angesagten Electro Label schon etwas veröffentlicht. Einigen ist bestimmt auch noch sein Label Breakin' Records ein Begriff.
MARCO BERNARDI begann Mitte der 2000er auf den Labeln Frustated Funk, Créme Organization, Clone oder Abstract Forms zu veröffentlichen. Seit dem ist er noch aktiv dabei den Electro Sound auszubauen, aber auch bei Acid und Techno ist er gut aufgehoben.
MEJLE und ELECTRODON sind Teil der Mechatronica Crew, die sich ebenfalls Electro und Acid verschrieben haben. Sie sind mit der Materie vertraut und haben auch schon selbst gute Partys organisiert. Eine erste kleine Compilation ist auf ihren neuem Label gleichen Namens kürzlich erschienen, auf dem unter anderem Luke Eargoggle, Sync 24 und Etcher zu hören sind.
AXIOM hat in Berlin auch schon einige Dancefloors gerockt. Als Electro Spezialist darf er da natürlich auch nicht fehlen und macht das ganze zu einer runden Sache.

Electro - one of the oldest electronic music genres and yet one of the lesser regarded.
Those who understand the word Electro only as a superior concept for electronic music and not as a genre will miss something here. This is about the real Electro!
The cool sound of Kraftwerk can be heard here, but also the funky rhythms, known from the breakdance scene. It is a broad genre, which can best be described in the following words: drum machine, synthesizer, science fiction, future, robots, radio.
Reason enough to explore the different forms of the genre as it is the conception with our new X:PLORATION series. Here we go on journeys to the endless electro-widths - from Oldschool to Newschool and also beyond the borders, where even more interesting cuts lie.
At our first departure we have a competent team on board!
DMX KREW is about as close to a household name as can be found in electro, since he has been providing us with material for more than 20 years. His releases on Reflex reflect precisely this wide electrocosm and, of course, he has also released something on almost every popular electro label. A term to which his label Breakin 'Records also surely belongs.
MARCO BERNARDI began releasing in the mid-2000s on Frustated Funk, Créme Organization, Clone and Abstract Forms. Since then he has still been actively developing the electro sound, but has also proven himself more than capable with Acid and Techno.
MEJLE and ELECTRODON are part of the Mechatronica crew, who are also dedicated to Electro and Acid. They are familiar with the subject matter and know how to put on a good party. A first, small compilation has recently appeared on their new label of the same name, including Luke Eargoggle, Sync 24 and Etcher.
AXIOM has also rocked many dancefloors in Berlin. As an electro specialist, and master mixologist he is not to be missed and makes the form complete.
