As Tripeo, Darko Esser has been just as faithful to his label Tripeo as on Wolfskuil Records. As his own boss here, he takes matters into his own hands. As a result, Tripeo has a strong album from 2014 as well as several EPs. ‘Dirt’, Tripeos, three-tracker of this year, continues the interpretation of dancefloor-oriented techno which he has developed over the years, in impressive mania (listen!) and gives an idea of the records Esser will be sharing with us. Annie Hall’s ‘Sky Watcher EP’ from 2008 is a real insider tip for connoisseurs. For a long time it was quiet from the Spaniard, who lives only a stones throw from Detroit and drew her inspiration from the Motorcity. The signing on Detroit Underground in 2013 was the logical consequence. On her most recent release, she goes back to the tradition of ‘Sky Watcher’ on melodic electro. In the tent it will be especially old school. Vybrtn spins UK garage and the finest New York House. It's no wonder, then, that you have somebody like Ben Mono on board, who signed to Strictly Rhythm not so long ago. Dede is constantly playing side by side with Kyle Hall and books artists like Atjazz or Raoul K in Watergate. For us he makes the trek a few yards down the street, to win over with energetic grooves between house and afro radio.

Als Tripeo ist Darko Esser sich auf seinem Label Tripeo eigentlich genauso treu geblieben wie auf Wolfskuil Records. Als eigener Chef gilt hier quasi: Nimm es am Besten selbst in die Hand. Im Ergebnis sind das als Tripeo ein starkes Album in 2014 sowie etliche EPs. Schmutz, Tripeos diesjähriger Drei-Tracker setzt die von ihm über die Jahre weiterentwicklte Interpretation von dancefloor-orientiertem Techno in bestechender Manie fort (reinhören!) und gibt eine Idee von dem, was Esser bei uns auf die Plattenteller legen wird. Annie Halls Sky Watcher EP aus dem Jahr 2008 ist ein echter Geheimtipp für Kenner. Lange war es danach still um die Spanieren, die nur einen Katzensprung von Detroit entfernt lebte und ihre Inspiration zu wesentlichen Teilen aus der Motorcity zog. Das Signing auf Detroit Underground war in 2013 die logische Konsequenz. Auf ihrer aktuellen Platte besinnt sie sich in der Tradition von Sky Watcher auf melodischen Electro zurück. Im Zelt wird es besonders oldschoolig. Vybrtn stecht für UK Garage und feinsten New-York House. Kein Wunder also, dass man mit Ben Mono jemanden an Bord hat, der vor nicht all zu langer Zeit bei Strictly Rhythm unterschrieb. Dede etwa spielt in Berlin beständig an der Seite von Kyle Hall und bucht ansonsten Künstler wie Atjazz oder Raoul K ins Watergate. Für uns nimmt er gerne die paar Meter die Straße runter auf sich und besticht mit energetischen Grooves zwischen House und Afrofunk.
