House und Techno verdanken der LGBT Community eine ganze Menge was Musik und Feierkultur angeht und doch wird mit Techno in vielerlei Hinsicht vor allem maskulines begriffen.
Immerhin erklimmen gerade in den letzten Jahren immer mehr Frauen den Olymp und bestechen mit rassigen Skills und ausgechecktem Sound.
VRAAA möchte erstgenannte Prämisse ein Stück weiter gerade rücken und sellt queeres Identitätsbewusstsein in den Vordergrund. Deshalb kuratiert mit The Princess Of Death die feminine Seite von Diego Garcias Künstleridentität den heutigen Abend auf dem Clubfloor.
Dreh- und Angelpunkt ist die Diva. Ein Aspekt der bei The Princess Of Death nichts mit sexueller Orientierung, sondern der Herangehensweise an Techno in seinen diversen Spielarten zu tun hat. Techno kann energisch sein, voller Noise oder Melancholie. Techno kann aber auch aggressiv sein, trippy und melodisch. In jedem Fall braucht es eine Diva um all dies zu handeln.
