MATTEO PERZ (TheHouseVan)

House with a funky groove and a touch of soulfulness is how Matteo Perz describes his music. His music is influenced and inspired by artist from Giorgio Moroder to Barry White and from James Brown to Frankie Knuckles.
After graduation he moved to Germany where he studied German and Hotel Management. But he discovered that this was not his passion. In that period Matteo was inspired by artists and DJs like John Digweed, Giorgio Moroder and Carl Cox. Especially, after seeing a DJ set by Carl Cox he decided to follow his true passion, electronic music.
Matteo moved to Berlin, where his currently still based, and developed his musical skills by graduating in Dbs music Berlin. In Berlin Matteo has been experimenting with different instruments, styles and people, which result with his first EP “hip bones movement” released on walking disco records.
An other ongoing project is the ‘The House Van’ a radioshow and club night. The House Van presenting a mix of classic house music from early to late 90’s. The show has also had many frequent guests which has given Matteo the opportunity to collaborate with lots of different artists. The House Van has also been taking live. Matteo have been playing in bars and clubs throughout Berlin.
