Hardmatter was founded in 2015 by JVXTA and Zapata as a way to look toward the deep tradition of the past and the jazzy soundscapes of the future. Three years and three records later, the label is happy to announce its first launch party in the intimate space of Paloma Bar.

With a catalogue already featuring seminal releases from Detroit mainstays Javonntte and Malik Alston, the label heads will curate a night focusing on the deep jazz and soul that Hardmatter is all about.
